The Copycat LED table lamp, a creation by Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades, enchants with its simple geometry and the attractive contrast of its material. With its unusual design, the Copycat Tavolo transcends the formal language of traditional table lamps and develops a sculptural quality.
Two spheres form the body of the lamp, the larger of which - created from blown opal glass - serves as a diffuser and creates a diffuse, atmospheric light . In its shadow, as if it were the moon of a planet, is the smaller sphere that contains the lighting fixture. It is made of aluminum and plated with 24-carat gold, which gives it a particularly distinctive aesthetic.
While the glass diffuser underlines the minimalist form of the Flos Copycat LED table lamp, the aluminum sphere lends the product a touch of elegance and luxury. In this way, the table lamp becomes a decorative design object that enhances but does not dominate its surroundings. With its shimmering opal glass globe, it also appears light and lightweight, but remains securely in position thanks to the flattened underside.
The Flos Copycat created by Michael Anastassiades is equipped with an energy-efficient LED light source, the light intensity of which can be varied using a dimmer on the light cable. The light color of the LED is a warm white 2,700 Kelvin, which gives the emitted light a cozy touch.
