Marset FollowMe LED Akkuleuchte – die neue Generation der mobilen Designikone
Die FollowMe Portable von Marset bringt stimmungsvolles Licht genau dorthin, wo Sie es gerade benötigen. Seit ihrer Kreation durch Inma Bermúdez im Jahr 2014 gilt die kabellose Tischleuchte als Wegbereiterin moderner mobiler Beleuchtung. In der neuen Generation verbindet FollowMe ihre unverwechselbare, von Laternen inspirierte Form mit zeitgemäßer Lichttechnik, verbesserter Akkuleistung und vielseitigen Lademöglichkeiten.
Ihr Name ist Programm: "Follow me" bedeutet "Folge mir". Dank des integrierten Lithium-Ionen-Akkus benötigt die Designerleuchte während des Betriebs keine Steckdose und lässt sich über den schönen Griff aus Natureiche-Schichtholz bequem transportieren. Auf dem Beistelltisch im Wohnzimmer, dem Nachttisch im Schlafzimmer, einer Konsole im Flur oder dem Tisch im Wintergarten schafft sie eine warme, wohnliche Lichtinsel. Auch in Restaurants, Hotels, Bars, Lounges und im Retail-Bereich bietet sie flexible Beleuchtung ohne störende Kabel.
Optisch bewahrt die neue FollowMe die organische Silhouette des Originals, wurde jedoch in zahlreichen Details weiterentwickelt. Der Korpus und der opale Diffusor bestehen aus glänzendem Polycarbonat in Elfenbeinweiß. Der gebogene Holzgriff setzt dazu einen warmen, natürlichen Akzent. Der um bis zu 45° neigbare Schirm erlaubt es, die Lichtwirkung gezielt auszurichten. Das Licht wird rundum weich gestreut und zugleich nach unten abgegeben – ideal für eine sanfte Akzentbeleuchtung, ruhige Abendstunden oder ein atmosphärisches Licht beim Essen.
Eine wesentliche Neuerung sind die drei wählbaren Lichtfarben: Mit 2.200 Kelvin erzeugt die FollowMe ein besonders warmes, beinahe kerzenähnliches Licht. 2.600 Kelvin eignet sich für eine klassische, wohnliche Beleuchtung, während 3.000 Kelvin etwas klarer wirkt und sich gut zum Lesen, für den gedeckten Tisch oder für gastronomische Anwendungen eignet. Die gewählte Farbtemperatur lässt sich speichern, sodass sie beim nächsten Einschalten wieder zur Verfügung steht.
Der Schalter übernimmt zugleich die Funktion eines stufenlosen Touchdimmers. Durch längeres Drücken kann die Helligkeit präzise zwischen 10 und 100 % reguliert werden. So lässt sich die FollowMe flexibel an Tageszeit, Umgebung und gewünschte Stimmung anpassen. Bei maximaler Lichtleistung erreicht der Akku eine Laufzeit von bis zu fünf Stunden. Bei mittlerer Helligkeit sind bis zu zehn Stunden möglich, bei geringer Intensität bis zu 20 Stunden.
Geladen wird die Tisch-Akkulampe über das mitgelieferte USB-C-Kabel; ein Steckdosenadapter ist nicht enthalten. Die vollständige Ladezeit beträgt etwa zehn Stunden. Als optionales Zubehör sind eine einzelne Ladestation sowie eine Mehrfach-Ladestation für bis zu sechs FollowMe Leuchten erhältlich. Gerade für Gastronomie, Hotellerie und Objektbereiche ermöglicht dies ein komfortables, übersichtliches Lademanagement mehrerer Lampen.
Trotz ihrer kabellosen Bauweise ist die FollowMe für trockene Innenbereiche ausgelegt. Sie kann zeitweise an einen geschützten Platz auf Balkon oder Terrasse mitgenommen werden, darf jedoch weder Regen noch Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt oder dauerhaft im Freien stehen gelassen werden. Zum Laden muss die Leuchte stets in den Innenraum gebracht werden. Für die Reinigung empfiehlt sich ein weiches, bei Bedarf leicht angefeuchtetes Tuch mit neutralem Reinigungsmittel; Alkohol und Lösungsmittel sollten vermieden werden.

What is the difference between the new FollowMe and the first generation?
The new generation preserves the characteristic shape of the original, but features a glossy ivory white finish, three adjustable colour temperatures, progressive dimming from 10 to 100 per cent and optimised battery life. It is also now charged via USB-C and can be combined with optional single or multiple charging cradles.
Which colour temperatures does the new Marset FollowMe offer?
The rechargeable lamp offers three selectable colour temperatures: very warm light at 2,200 Kelvin, warm ambient light at 2,700 Kelvin and a slightly clearer warm white at 3,000 Kelvin. This allows the lighting effect to be adapted to different times of day, uses and moods.
How is the colour temperature changed and saved?
First switch the FollowMe off and hold down the button until the orange indicator light comes on. You can then switch between 2,200, 2,700 and 3,000 Kelvin by pressing the button briefly. To save the selected colour temperature, hold the button down again until both the lamp and the orange indicator go out. The factory setting is 2,200 Kelvin.
How bright is the Marset FollowMe?
The FollowMe has a light output of 135 lumens. This makes it particularly suitable as atmospheric accent lighting on a table, bedside table, sideboard or in a small reading area. Thanks to the tilting shade and progressive dimming, the light can be adjusted precisely. The rechargeable table lamp is not intended to serve as the sole general lighting for an entire room.
How is the FollowMe dimmed?
The button on the lamp body also functions as a progressive dimmer. When the light is switched on, press and hold the button to adjust the brightness continuously between 10 and 100 %. Once the desired intensity has been reached, simply release the button.
How long does the Marset FollowMe battery last?
At maximum brightness, the battery life is up to five hours. At medium light output, up to ten hours are possible, while the lowest intensity offers up to 20 hours of light. Very high or very low ambient temperatures may reduce the actual runtime.
How is the FollowMe portable lamp charged?
The lamp is charged using the supplied USB-C cable. A suitable plug adapter is not included. As accessories, a single charging cradle and a multiple charging cradle for up to six FollowMe lamps are also available. A full charge takes approximately ten hours when the battery is empty.
How can I tell the charging status of the FollowMe?
The indicator light on the FollowMe shows the current charging status: during charging, it lights up blue. Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator changes to green. A red indicator light means that the battery is depleted and should be recharged.
How should I care for the battery of the Marset FollowMe?
To support the service life of the lithium-ion battery, the FollowMe should be used regularly and both charged and discharged. Avoid leaving the lamp permanently connected to the charger or standing on the charging cradle for long periods. The battery should also not remain fully discharged for several days. According to Marset, it retains more than 75 % of its original capacity after 300 charging cycles.
Can the Marset FollowMe be used outdoors?
Only with restrictions. The FollowMe has an IP20 protection rating and is designed exclusively for dry indoor spaces. It may be used temporarily in a dry, sheltered spot on a balcony or patio, but must not be used in damp locations or exposed to rain or direct sunlight. The portable table lamp must also be charged in a dry indoor room.
How can the lampshade be adjusted?
The shade of the FollowMe can be tilted by up to 45°. This allows the downward-directed light to be aimed at a table, book or specific area, while the opal diffuser also emits soft light into the surrounding space.
How is the Marset FollowMe cleaned?
Clean the FollowMe rechargeable lamp with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If necessary, a neutral cleaning agent can be used. Alcohol, solvents and aggressive cleaning products are not suitable, as they may damage the glossy surfaces.
