Flos Belt LED pendant luminaire: smart lighting technology meets elegant leather sheathing
The Belt LED pendant luminaire, created by the designer duo Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, reflects the softness of natural leather in the luminaire design. The pendant lamp impresses with its exclusive leather upholstery, which was specially developed for Flos. The graphic lines of the design, together with the exclusivity of the material and associative details such as the metal buckles, reveal the designers' source of inspiration: "belt" is the English word for "belt".
The luminaire, which looks like a light installation, is made entirely of genuine leather in natural, green or black tones. The slender aluminum profile is encased in leather, creating an upward and downward light emission. Flat leather straps, which are attached to the ceiling with metal buckles, serve as pendants. The power connection is made via a leather loop on the side, which is connected to the lighting profile via an integrated micro connection.
The impressive design language of the Flos Belt is rounded off by the high-quality lighting technology: LED light sources with warm white 2,700 Kelvin and an excellent color rendering index provide high-quality light with exceptional color fastness. The direct light output of 4,000 lumens is particularly bright, while the uplight with a lumen value of 2,020 lm is intense enough to contribute to ambient lighting.
The Flos Belt LED pendant luminaire is also equipped with a Casambi controller . This makes it possible to switch and dim the lamp conveniently from a mobile device. It is operated via the FLOS Control® (powered by Casambi) app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple Store.
