With the Panthella Portable lamp The Originals, Louis Poulsen continues the colorful design history of the 1970s and pays tribute to the extraordinary work of Verner Panton. The special edition features the striking original colors with which Panton first presented the Panthella in 1971 – combined with the characteristic chrome base that underscores the lamp's expressive character. Bright orange and red, deep green and brown, and a timeless blue-gray revive the spirit of the seventies while adding modern accents to any interior.
The Panthella 250 Portable is a cordless further development of the famous Panthella table lamp. With a diameter of 25 cm, it is ideal for atmospheric accent lighting in the living area as well as for flexible use outdoors. Whether on the bedside table or sideboard, in the living room, hallway, or on the terrace and balcony – thanks to its IP44 protection rating, the battery-powered lamp is versatile and can be easily moved from indoors to outdoors.
The Panthella lamp is characterized by its pleasantly soft, glare-free light. The opal shade distributes the light evenly and reflects it gently downward, while the organic shapes of the shade and base act as reflectors. This creates warm, atmospheric lighting that makes rooms feel cozy and brings out colors harmoniously.
It is operated via an elegant touch dimmer in the upper screw nut, whose design reflects Panton's playful approach to design. The light intensity can be adjusted in three stages (10%, 33%, and 100%). The integrated rechargeable battery provides up to 5.5 hours of light at full brightness and up to 79 hours of wireless light at low brightness.
The table battery lamp is conveniently charged via a USB cable, which is discreetly plugged in from below. The Panthella 250 Portable can also be operated during charging; intelligent charging electronics reliably protect the battery. Please note: Due to its design, the base consists of two parts and always has a visible seam. This is part of the original design and does not constitute a quality defect.
