At the heart of the lamp is the Occhio fireball, a revolutionary light source that combines glare-free, focused light with soft ambient light. The spherical glass shade surrounding the fireball creates a harmonious light distribution and lends every room a warm, pleasant ambiance. The upper half of the glass sphere is metal-coated, so the light is directed downward—perfect for use on tables or sideboards.
Luna Pura is equipped with a powerful lithium-ion battery that provides up to 150 hours of light on the dimmed setting and up to 8 hours of light at maximum brightness. The status indicator in the base informs you of the remaining battery life when you lift the table lamp. Charging is done via the included USB-C fabric cable. For the fast-charging function, an Occhio 45W USB-PD power adapter or a comparable model rated at 40W or higher is required. A stylish charging puck is available as an option; thanks to its weight, it sits stably on the table and won’t fall off.
A special highlight is the Occhio "color tune" function, which allows you to continuously adjust the light color within the range of 2,200 to 3,500 Kelvin (Occhio x-tra warm). This enables you to customize the lighting ambiance—from warm candlelight to cooler moonlight. Control is intuitive via the push button on the base or conveniently via the free Occhio air app.
With Occhio air, you experience full control and flexibility. How Long Does the Luna pura Battery Last?
At full light intensity, the Luna pura provides up to 8 hours of light. At reduced brightness, a battery life of up to 150 hours is possible. The actual runtime depends on the selected brightness level and colour temperature. An integrated LED status indicator in the base shows the current battery level when the lamp is lifted.
How Is the Occhio Luna pura Charged?
The Luna pura is conveniently charged using the supplied USB-C textile cable measuring 180 cm. With a USB-PD power adapter of at least 40 watts, the fast-charging function charges the battery from 0 to 80% in approximately one hour. An optional Occhio Charging puck is also available. This elegant charging station keeps the cable neatly within reach and displays the charging status of the Luna pura.
How Do You Operate the Luna pura?
The Luna pura can be operated directly on the lamp or conveniently via app. Two opposite tactile buttons are integrated into the base: one button is used for continuous dimming, while the other adjusts the colour temperature. Pressing both buttons simultaneously switches the rechargeable lamp on or off. This allows light intensity and mood to be adjusted intuitively—from soft ambient lighting to clear accent illumination.
Alternatively, the Luna pura can be controlled via the free Occhio air app for iOS and Android. In addition to switching the lamp on and off, the app offers further functions such as lighting scenes, group control and timer settings. This makes the cordless table lamp a highly flexible lighting object for individual lighting concepts.
What Is the Difference Between Switching Off and Holiday Mode on the Luna pura?
The Luna pura offers two different ways of switching off, depending on whether the lamp will not be used for a short time or for an extended period.
If the rechargeable table lamp is switched off by briefly pressing both buttons at the same time, the integrated Occhio air or Casambi module remains active. This means the lamp can still be reached via the app even when switched off. However, in standby mode, the battery continues to be slightly drained.
For longer periods of non-use, the so-called holiday mode is recommended. To activate it, both buttons are pressed and held simultaneously for a longer period. The Luna pura then switches off completely and the wireless module is deactivated. In this state, the lamp can no longer be reached via the app, but the battery is preserved and no longer discharged.
Holiday mode is especially useful during extended periods of non-use—for example in holiday homes, restaurants or when the rechargeable LED lamp is stored for a longer period.
How Bright Is the Occhio Luna pura?
With 160 lumens, the Luna pura creates atmospheric, mood-enhancing light. It is designed as a decorative rechargeable table lamp for living rooms, sideboards, dining tables or bedrooms and is not intended as task lighting or primary room lighting.
What Is the Occhio color tune Function?
With color tune, the colour temperature of the Luna pura can be continuously adjusted between 2,200 and 3,500 Kelvin—from warm candlelight-like illumination to a more neutral light for everyday use and ambient settings. The scope of delivery includes the lamp with integrated rechargeable battery and permanently installed high color LED, as well as a USB-C textile cable. A power adapter is not included.
