Frequently Asked Questions About the Occhio Luna pura LED Portable Lamp
How Long Does the Luna pura Battery Last?
At full light intensity, the Luna pura provides up to 8 hours of light. At reduced brightness, a battery life of up to 150 hours is possible. The actual runtime depends on the selected brightness level and colour temperature. An integrated LED status indicator in the base shows the current battery level when the lamp is lifted.
How Is the Occhio Luna pura Charged?
The Luna pura is conveniently charged using the supplied USB-C textile cable measuring 180 cm. With a USB-PD power adapter of at least 40 watts, the fast-charging function charges the battery from 0 to 80% in approximately one hour. An optional Occhio Charging puck is also available. This elegant charging station keeps the cable neatly within reach and displays the charging status of the Luna pura.
How Do You Operate the Luna pura?
The Luna pura can be operated directly on the lamp or conveniently via app. Two opposite tactile buttons are integrated into the base: one button is used for continuous dimming, while the other adjusts the colour temperature. Pressing both buttons simultaneously switches the rechargeable lamp on or off. This allows light intensity and mood to be adjusted intuitively—from soft ambient lighting to clear accent illumination.
Alternatively, the Luna pura can be controlled via the free Occhio air app for iOS and Android. In addition to switching the lamp on and off, the app offers further functions such as lighting scenes, group control and timer settings. This makes the cordless table lamp a highly flexible lighting object for individual lighting concepts.
What Is the Difference Between Switching Off and Holiday Mode on the Luna pura?
The Luna pura offers two different ways of switching off, depending on whether the lamp will not be used for a short time or for an extended period.
If the rechargeable table lamp is switched off by briefly pressing both buttons at the same time, the integrated Occhio air or Casambi module remains active. This means the lamp can still be reached via the app even when switched off. However, in standby mode, the battery continues to be slightly drained.
For longer periods of non-use, the so-called holiday mode is recommended. To activate it, both buttons are pressed and held simultaneously for a longer period. The Luna pura then switches off completely and the wireless module is deactivated. In this state, the lamp can no longer be reached via the app, but the battery is preserved and no longer discharged.
Holiday mode is especially useful during extended periods of non-use—for example in holiday homes, restaurants or when the rechargeable LED lamp is stored for a longer period.
How Bright Is the Occhio Luna pura?
With 160 lumens, the Luna pura creates atmospheric, mood-enhancing light. It is designed as a decorative rechargeable table lamp for living rooms, sideboards, dining tables or bedrooms and is not intended as task lighting or primary room lighting.
What Is the Occhio color tune Function?
With color tune, the colour temperature of the Luna pura can be continuously adjusted between 2,200 and 3,500 Kelvin—from warm candlelight-like illumination to a more neutral light for everyday use and ambient settings. Occhio refers to the particularly warm range as “x-tra warm”. The setting can be adjusted directly using the buttons on the lamp or conveniently via the Occhio air app.
Is the Luna pura Compatible with Casambi?
Yes. The Occhio air app is based on the Casambi standard. This makes the Luna pura fully compatible with the entire Casambi ecosystem. It can be seamlessly controlled together with Casambi-enabled luminaires from other manufacturers, grouped within a shared network and integrated into cross-product lighting scenes.
Why is the Occhio Luna pura no longer accessible via the Occhio app after some time?
If the Occhio Luna pura is no longer accessible via the Occhio air app after some time, this is not a fault but a factory-programmed energy-saving function. When switched off, the rechargeable lamp initially remains controllable via Bluetooth using the Occhio air app. Once the so-called “air control timeout” has elapsed, which is factory-set to 1 day, the Luna pura automatically deactivates its Bluetooth connection to conserve battery power.
The Smart Power status LED in the base then remains active for one further day. After that, the lamp switches completely to power-off mode. To reactivate the Occhio Luna pura for app control, simply press the button on the lamp briefly. This reactivates the lamp and makes it accessible again via the Occhio air app.
Can Several Occhio Luna pura Lamps Be Controlled at the Same Time?
Yes. With the Occhio air sync function, several Luna pura lamps can be wirelessly synchronised and controlled together. A single gesture or button press is enough to transfer settings such as dimming level or colour temperature simultaneously to all lamps within a defined group
Which Colours Is the Luna pura Available In?
The Luna pura is available in three premium finishes: Dark chrome, Phantom and Gold. In all versions, the base is finished in elegant matt black with a soft-touch coating, underlining the refined and purist design.
A defining feature of the design is the elaborately metallised, dichroic glass sphere. Its special coating allows only part of the light to radiate upwards, while the larger share is warmly reflected downwards. This creates a harmonious interplay of focused light and soft ambient illumination—ideal for dining tables, sideboards or stylish islands of light in living spaces.
Where Can the Occhio Luna pura Be Used?
The rechargeable table lamp is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, dining tables, sideboards, conservatories and protected outdoor areas.
Is the Luna pura Suitable for Outdoor Use?
The Luna pura has an IP20 rating and is therefore primarily designed for indoor use. It may be used temporarily on a sheltered terrace or covered balcony, but should not be exposed to rain, splash water or prolonged moisture.
What Is Included in the Delivery?
The scope of delivery includes the lamp with integrated rechargeable battery and permanently installed high color LED, as well as a USB-C textile cable. A power adapter is not included. For the fast-charging function, a USB-PD power adapter of at least 40 watts is recommended. The Charging puck is available separately as an optional accessory.
What Makes the Luna pura Different from Other Rechargeable Lamps?
The Luna pura combines patented Occhio fireball technology, color tune, Occhio air control, premium finishes and the iconic Luna design—features that classic rechargeable table lamps often do not offer.
