Slamp Aria Suspension XL – monumentaler Design-Kronleuchter von Zaha Hadid
Die Aria Suspension XL von Slamp ist Lichtobjekt und Raumskulptur zugleich. Entworfen von der weltbekannten Architektin Zaha Hadid, überträgt die Pendelleuchte ihre charakteristische, fließende Formensprache in ein außergewöhnliches Beleuchtungsobjekt. Mit einem Durchmesser von 90 cm und einer Höhe von 130 cm besitzt die XL-Version eine eindrucksvolle Präsenz und empfiehlt sich besonders für großzügige Wohnzimmer, offene Galerien, Lobbys, Lounges, repräsentative Flure oder exklusive Hospitality- und Objektbereiche.
Das komplexe Volumen entsteht aus 50 individuell geformten, übereinander angeordneten Elementen, die sich um das Zentrum der Leuchte gruppieren. Je nach Blickwinkel verändert sich ihre Wahrnehmung: Linien verdichten sich, öffnen sich wieder und lassen Licht, Transparenz und Reflexion immer neu miteinander spielen. So entsteht jene dynamische, beinahe architektonische Wirkung, für die Zaha Hadids Entwürfe bekannt sind.
Gefertigt wird Aria aus den patentierten Kunststoffen Cristalflex® und Lentiflex®. Cristalflex® verbindet eine kristallähnliche Transparenz mit der Leichtigkeit und Flexibilität eines modernen Technopolymers. Lentiflex® besitzt eine prismenartige Struktur, die das Licht aufnimmt, bricht und je nach Betrachtungswinkel unterschiedlich erscheinen lässt. Gerade in der golden metallisierten Ausführung entwickeln die vielschichtigen Flächen ein luxuriöses Wechselspiel aus Reflexionen und Licht; die transparente Variante wirkt besonders ätherisch, während schwarze Konturen die skulpturale Struktur grafisch hervorheben.
Auch lichttechnisch ist die Aria XL auf ihre großzügigen Dimensionen abgestimmt. Sechs E27 LED-Filament-Leuchtmittel sorgen für eine rundum wahrnehmbare Lichtwirkung innerhalb und außerhalb der Struktur. Ergänzt werden sie durch einen nach unten gerichteten PAR30 LED-Spot, der eine zusätzliche direkte Lichtkomponente erzeugt. So verbindet die Pendellampe atmosphärische Raumbeleuchtung mit einem gezielteren Lichtanteil nach unten – eine wirkungsvolle Kombination beispielsweise über großzügigen Sitzgruppen, in Empfangszonen oder frei im Raum.
Bei der Verwendung geeigneter dimmbarer Leuchtmittel kann die Helligkeit über einen vorhandenen externen Wanddimmer reguliert werden (nicht inbegriffen). Die transparente Zuleitung lässt sich bei der Montage zwischen 20 und 140 cm einstellen; für besonders hohe Räume ist auf Anfrage auch eine 6-Meter-Abhängung erhältlich. Der Baldachin ist farblich auf die jeweilige Ausführung abgestimmt und in Weiß, Gold oder Schwarz gehalten.
Jede Slamp Leuchte wird in Italien von Hand gefertigt. Auch die Aria XL verbindet aufwendige Handarbeit mit moderner Materialtechnologie. Aufgrund ihrer komplexen Konstruktion wird sie nicht vollständig vormontiert geliefert: Die einzelnen Elemente werden bei der Montage entsprechend ihrer durchnummerierten Kennzeichnung an der inneren Struktur befestigt, bis sich die charakteristische dreidimensionale Silhouette aufbaut.

How large is the Slamp Aria Suspension XL?

What materials is the Aria XL made from?
Slamp uses Cristalflex® and Lentiflex®. The transparent or metallised technopolymers are lightweight and flexible, creating the lamp’s characteristic sense of depth through reflection, refraction and layering.
Which bulbs does the Aria Suspension XL require?
The XL version is designed for six E27 LED filament bulbs of 12 watts each, as well as one PAR30 LED spot of 11 watts. The six filament bulbs support the diffuse lighting effect within the sculptural structure, while the spot also directs light downwards.
Are the bulbs included?
No. The required bulbs are not included and must be selected separately. If you would like to dim the pendant lamp, suitable dimmable bulbs should be used.
Is the Slamp Aria XL dimmable?
Yes. If suitable dimmable bulbs are used and the electrical installation is equipped with a compatible wall dimmer, the brightness can be adjusted. A dimmer is not integrated into the pendant light.
What lighting effect does the Aria XL create?
The numerous transparent or refined elements distribute and reflect the light in many directions, creating diffuse, atmospheric room lighting. An additional PAR30 spot also directs light downwards. Aria therefore combines decorative all-round light with a more direct lighting component.
Which versions is Aria available in?
The collection is available in gold, transparent and black. The gold metallised finish has a particularly luxurious and reflective effect, the transparent version emphasises the light, crystalline appearance, and the black version traces the individual contours of the complex structure especially clearly.
Can the suspension height of the pendant light be adjusted?
Yes. During installation, the transparent power cable and suspension can be adjusted between 20 and 140 cm. For particularly high rooms, a 6-metre cable version is available on request.
Is the Aria Suspension XL delivered fully assembled?
No. Due to its complex and delicate construction, the individual elements are not delivered fully pre-assembled. During installation, they are attached to the inner structure according to their markings. This gradually creates the characteristic three-dimensional form of Aria.
Where does the Aria XL come into its own particularly well?
Its size and sculptural effect make it ideal for spacious living areas, galleries, lounges, hotel lobbies, reception areas and other representative spaces.
