Flos Belt Fabric LED pendant luminaire: flexible light sculpture in an exclusive design

The Belt Fabric from Flos is more than just a luminaire - it stands for the visionary fusion of design and technology and has been specially designed for a discerning public. Its soft fabric surface, which was specially developed for Flos, forms an attractive contrast to the rigidity of the aluminum lighting profile and gives the product an appealing flowing line.

With its flexible, graphic shape, the Belt Fabric LED pendant luminaire enhances any room. Its curved element serves as a connection to the power source, while the rigid parts correspond to the light sources of the long light lines. The metal buckles, which also serve as ceiling brackets, are based on belt buckles and fit perfectly into the original design.

By sliding the fabric straps through the buckles, the pendant lamp is particularly easy to install. Each strap can be adjusted to suit the nature of the surroundings. The electrical connection is established via a special micro connection integrated into the clamp of the slim lighting profile.

The Belt Fabric's light shines directly and indirectly and can be conveniently controlled via the FLOS Control® app powered by Casambi. This makes the lamp an innovative, future-oriented light source above dining tables, conference tables and counters. The excellent color rendering index of CRI 95 allows illuminated objects to shine in a brilliant, true-color light.

The Flos Belt Fabric LED pendant light was designed by the French designer duo Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. Their designs are known for their particular simplicity and functionality, paired with a touch of poetry and a clear sense of aesthetics. The two brothers experiment with a variety of materials and techniques and have already created award-winning pieces for many renowned design houses.
