Artemide Tolomeo Braccio – buy the wall-mounted swing-arm lamp of the Tolomeo family online

Greater reach from the wall – the Tolomeo Braccio for flexible wall mounting

The Artemide Tolomeo Braccio is the wall-mounted arm version of the Tolomeo: a bracket on the wall supports a long, pivoting arm – and the lamp at its end. Compared to the compact Tolomeo Parete, the Tolomeo Braccio offers significantly greater reach into the room. Whether above a desk, beside a bed, or as a flexible wall lamp in a work area – the Tolomeo Braccio brings the proven Tolomeo mechanism to a wall-mounted configuration with maximum range of movement. Leuchtenland is an authorized Artemide dealer and stocks the Tolomeo Braccio in all available versions.

The Tolomeo Braccio at a glance

Tolomeo Braccio – the pivoting wall-arm lamp

The Tolomeo Braccio consists of a wall bracket and a long articulated arm that extends the Tolomeo lamp far into the room. The spring balance mechanism holds the arm in any position without a locking screw – precise, silent, and movable with the lightest touch. The shade at the end of the arm rotates freely, allowing the light to be directed exactly where needed. Polished aluminium for the arm and joints, matt anodised aluminium for the shade – the distinctive Tolomeo look.

Tolomeo Braccio for desks and work areas

Above a desk that sits against the wall, the Tolomeo Braccio is the cleanest solution: no cables on the work surface, no base taking up space – the lamp comes from the wall, reaches over the desk, and illuminates the surface precisely from above. The arm can be swung to the side when the lamp is not in use.

Tolomeo Braccio for reading areas

Next to a reading chair or a sofa against the wall, the Tolomeo Braccio provides precise reading light without a floor base. The arm reaches over the seat, the shade illuminates from above – discreet, flexible, space-saving. An alternative to the Tolomeo Lettura for anyone who wants to avoid using floor space.

Braccio vs. Parete – choosing the right wall version

Both are wall-mounted, both from the Tolomeo family – but with different characteristics:

• Tolomeo Parete – more compact, sits closer to the wall; ideal above the bed or as an accent lamp beside pictures and shelves
• Tolomeo Braccio – long swing arm, great reach; ideal above the desk, beside a reading chair, or anywhere the lamp needs to extend well into the room
• In common – spring balance mechanism, polished and anodised aluminium, the full Tolomeo design language

Lighting concept with the Tolomeo Braccio

The Tolomeo Braccio is particularly suited to rooms where floor space is at a premium or where a lamp needs to cover a large area from the wall. Combined with a Tolomeo Tavolo on the desk or a Tolomeo Lettura in the reading area, it creates a cohesive lighting concept from a single family. Artemide – light design from Milan since 1960

Artemide was founded in Milan in 1960. The Tolomeo family, designed in 1987 by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina and awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1989, has expanded over the decades to cover virtually every lamp category – from the desk lamp to the wall-mounted swing-arm lamp. The Tolomeo Braccio is the natural evolution of the Tolomeo concept for wall-mounted applications with extended reach.

Frequently asked questions about the Artemide Tolomeo Braccio

What is the difference between the Tolomeo Braccio and the Tolomeo Parete?

The Tolomeo Braccio is fitted with a long swing arm that extends the lamp well into the room – ideal for desks and reading areas where a wide reach is desired. The Tolomeo Parete is more compact and sits closer to the wall – better suited to bed headboards, artwork areas, and situations where the lamp should remain close to the wall.

Which rooms is the Tolomeo Braccio suited to?

The Tolomeo Braccio is particularly suited to home offices and studies (above the desk), reading areas (beside an armchair or sofa), and living rooms (as a flexibly directable room lamp). Wherever a wall lamp is needed that reaches well into the room, the Tolomeo Braccio is the right choice.

How is the Tolomeo Braccio installed?

The Tolomeo Braccio is fixed to the wall – with screws and an electrical connection (in-wall wiring recommended). Installation should be carried out by an electrician. If you have questions about your installation situation, we are happy to advise you in advance by phone or Chat.

Is the arm of the Tolomeo Braccio fully pivoting?

Yes. The arm of the Tolomeo Braccio can be moved in all directions via the spring balance mechanism – forwards, sideways, up and down. The shade at the end of the arm can additionally be rotated. The lamp holds any position without a locking screw.

Is Leuchtenland an authorized Artemide dealer?
