Artemide Tolomeo LED – buy online – the classic with modern lighting technology

Timeless form, contemporary technology – the Tolomeo as an LED lamp

The Artemide Tolomeo LED unites the iconic Tolomeo design of 1987 with modern LED technology: energy-efficient, low-maintenance, with a long service life and a light output that loses nothing compared to the original. Artemide has developed the LED versions of the Tolomeo family so that the characteristic appearance – polished aluminium, conical shade, spring balance mechanism – is fully preserved. The LED lamp is barely distinguishable from the classic version from the outside. Leuchtenland is an authorized Artemide dealer and carries the Tolomeo LED in all key versions.

The Tolomeo LED at a glance

Tolomeo LED 2700K – warm white light

The Tolomeo Tavolo LED 2700K is the warm white LED variant of the classic desk lamp: 8 watts, 737 lumens. The light output corresponds to that of a traditional incandescent lamp – warm, homely, pleasant for evening and reading areas. Available in aluminium for desk and floor lamp variants. The choice for everyone who wants to retain the classic Tolomeo light output but switch to LED technology.

Tolomeo LED 3000K – neutral white light

The Tolomeo Tavolo LED 3000K offers a slightly cooler, fresher colour temperature: 8 watts, 761 lumens. This variant is particularly suited to concentrated work at the desk or for environments where a more vibrant light is desired. The difference from 2700K is subtle but perceptible – especially in rooms with plenty of daylight or light-coloured surfaces.

Tolomeo LED TW – Tunable White

The Tolomeo Tavolo LED TW is the most flexible LED variant: Tunable White means that the colour temperature can be adjusted steplessly between 2200K and 6500K – from very warm evening light to cool daylight. With 11 watts and 560–716 lumens (depending on the setting), the TW version is the most powerful and adaptable Tolomeo LED. Ideal for anyone who wants to adapt their lighting needs throughout the day.

Tolomeo LED with presence detector

A special comfort variant: the Tolomeo with presence detector automatically switches the lamp on when someone sits down at the desk and dims it after a defined period of absence. LED technology is ideally suited to this combination – LED lamps respond particularly well to frequent switching cycles without losing service life.

Tolomeo Pure Integralis – LED with disinfection function

The Tolomeo Pure Integralis combines classic task lighting with a germ-reducing light component. Developed for environments where hygiene requirements play a role. Visually barely distinguishable from the standard Tolomeo – the technology works invisibly in the background.

Advantages of LED technology in the Tolomeo

The Tolomeo LED offers several practical advantages over the classic variant:

• Long service life – LED light sources are designed for many thousands of operating hours; no regular bulb replacement required
• Low energy consumption – 7–11 watts instead of 40–60 watts in conventional versions
• Instant brightness – no warm-up time, full brightness when switched on
• Selectable colour temperature – 2700K, 3000K or TW (2200–6500K), depending on requirements
• No bulb replacement – integrated LED, low-maintenance and long-lasting

Frequently asked questions about the Artemide Tolomeo LED

What is the difference between Tolomeo LED 2700K and 3000K?

The difference lies in the colour temperature: 2700K is warm white – a light output reminiscent of classic incandescent lamps, suited to living and bedroom areas. 3000K is neutral white – slightly fresher and clearer, particularly suited to work areas. Both variants have 8 watts; the 3000K variant offers slightly more light output at 761 lumens.

What does "Tunable White" mean in the Tolomeo LED TW?

"Tunable White" (TW) means that the colour temperature can be adjusted steplessly – between 2200K (very warm, almost like candlelight) and 6500K (cool daylight white). The Tolomeo LED TW therefore adapts the light to the time of day and the activity: warm in the evening, clear and alert in the morning. Adjustment is made via the integrated dimmer.

Can the Tolomeo LED be dimmed?

Yes. Most LED variants of the Tolomeo are dimmable – either via an integrated microswitch dimmer or via the TW function of the TW variant. Which dimming function the respective model offers is stated on the product page.

Is the Tolomeo LED available for models other than the Tavolo?

Yes. LED technology is available in several Tolomeo variants – including the Tolomeo Mini, Micro, Terra and other models. Not all versions are available in all colour temperatures. Please contact us – we will inform you about the currently available LED versions.

Does the Tolomeo LED require a bulb replacement?

No. The Tolomeo LED is fitted with an integrated LED – the light source is permanently installed and cannot be replaced. The service life is designed for many thousands of operating hours; replacement is generally not required. If the LED reaches the end of its service life, please contact our customer service.

Is Leuchtenland an authorized Artemide dealer?

Yes. Leuchtenland is an authorized Artemide dealer and sources all lamps directly from the manufacturer. You are guaranteed to receive original goods with full manufacturer's warranty and personal advice.
